Welcome to my blog! My name is Clive Strong and I am a Database Architect/Administrator from Virgina Water, Surrey, UK. I am married and my first baby is due on April 18th 2012. Outside of work, I like to cycle, play golf, play rugby and also play around with SQL Server (no doubt all of these passtimes will come to a stop when the baby arrives)!
I was inspired to start a blog by reading many other blogs within the SQL Server community. I had thought about this for a long time and finally decided to go ahead and create my own.
I started using SQL Server in 1999, first using SQL Server 7 and since then SQL Server 2000, 2005 & 2008, specialising in design, index tuning, performance tuning, high availability, t-sql, security & backups/restore.
While there are many great blogs out there focused on SQL Server, I hope that I can also provide some good content for you all to read.
