Welcome to my blog! I’ve been reading a number of blogs as well as becoming a regular poster in the SQL Server community (mostly SQLServerCentral.com).
I started using SQL Server in 2000 using SQL Server 7, 2000, 2005 & 2008.
While there are many great blogs out there focused on SQL Server, I hope that I can also provide some good content for you all to read.
I’m currently employed as a Database Administrator at a financial software house in London. I’ve been in this position for two years. It’s been an interesting journey and has allowed me to fully take control of the database architecture and develop the backend in my own style. The production environment has grown from approximately 150GB in size and servicing about 50,000 E-Mails per day to 1.2TB in size and upto 1.6m E-Mails per day.
Prior to this I have worked for Virgin Media, Centrom plc and Kingston Technology Europe Ltd, all as a Database Administrator (aside from Kingston where I was also developing applications using Visual Basic).
